‘Closer to the clouds scattered in the sky, I see your home, its blue glass walls…just like a dream’-A tune of nostalgia, this song is a part of the 1995 Bengali album ‘Abar bochhor kuri por’ (after somewhat 20 years) by Moheener Ghoraguli (Moheen’s horses). Written, composed and sung by Dibyo Mukhopadhaya, it’s a song about an addressless home, a peaceful lethargic safe harbor away from the chaos of life, but the roads to whose door wind up in some empty neverland and people see them only among the blue clouds in sky, like silver lining. Set up in 1975 by Gautam Chattopadhyay, India’s first rock band Moheener Ghoraguli produced albums containing original songs as well as works by other independent musicians and bands of Bengal, ranging from traditional folk to western country rock. This one is the first of their compilation albums which contains their iconic song ‘Prithibi’ (the original song behind ‘Na jaane koi’ from the 2006 Hindi movie ‘Gangster’).
